COVID-19 SAFETY GUIDELINES
Boreal Expedition has always worked hard to provide our guests with perfect travel experiences that leave them with lifelong memories., new habilities, friendships and a plethora of images to be proud of. As we return to the field in earnest, We do so with the intention of continuing to use protocols that have been proven effective in creating the safest environment possible..
Boreal Expedition continues to actively monitor and will implement guidelines recommended by health officials, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (OMS). Boreal Expedition will require proof of vaccination or a negative test taken no more than 72 hours before the start of each guest's tour, regardless of regional entry requirements. What our Tours include
Tours scheduled by Boreal Expedition, in each season that starts in September to March, Includes the following:
Tower of 8 days: (8 days and 7 nights)
• Breakfast, lunch and dinner (of the day 1 up to date 7 of the Tower)
• Breakfast (the day 8 of the Tower)
• All meals are prepared and served by our Staff.
• Snacks and refreshments (All non-alcoholic drinks)
• Transfers to and from Keflavik International Airport.
• Private vehicles to cover the entire route planned for the Tour, with WiFi service in each vehicle, for all travelers.
• Transfers to the locations during the “Aurora Hunters” activity
• Accommodation in a double room in private houses on the Tour route. Most of them are shared bathrooms.. The houses are excellently equipped including:

the Hair Dryer
o Washer and dryer
o Personal care products
o WiFi
o Central heating and hot water system
o Fully equipped kitchen
o Entertainment system
• Entrance fees to the tourist sites detailed on the Tour route
• Traveler Medical Insurance
Tower of 10 days: (10 days and 9 nights)
• Breakfast, lunch and dinner (of the day 1 up to date 9 of the Tower)
• Breakfast (the day 10 of the Tower)
• All meals are prepared and served by our Staff.
• Snacks and refreshments (All non-alcoholic drinks)
• Transfers to and from Keflavik International Airport.
• Private vehicles to cover the entire route planned for the Tour, with WiFi service in each vehicle, for all travelers.
• Transfers to the locations during the “Aurora Hunters” activity

What does NOT include our Tours
• Tickets to activities that are not detailed in the Tour, any extra activity outside the Itinerary presented for the specific tour, have an additional cost, which is determined by the supplier in Iceland.
• In the event that the traveler decides to arrive earlier or stay a few additional scheduled days of the Tour, the costs associated with accommodation, transport, food and insurance are not covered by the contracted plan. The company may make recommendations without responsibility for associated expenses.. In the case of staying extra days, after the last day of the tour, The company only covers breakfast that day and the final transfer to the traveler's destination., solo in the zone of Keflavik.
• Alcoholic beverages
• We do not include Traveler Protection insurance.
CANCELLATION POLICY / TRANSFER
Boreal Expedition trips feature small groups, and our trips often sell out a year in advance. To accommodate all of our potential guests and keep our adventure and photography experiences small groups, we have the following procedures regarding reservations.
To reserve your spot with Boreal Expedition, a deposit is required for each person on a trip worth US $ 1,000. All of our trips can be booked using our secure online registration form or by calling our office. If you book within 45 days of departure, Full payment is required to make a reservation.
Payment Policy, Cancellations and Refunds
All prices are quoted in US dollars and all payments must be made in US dollars. For deposits, we accept visa, MasterCard through the Stripe platform, invoice sent to each person traveling with Boreal Expedition. Final payment of trip fare is due 45 days before departure. Travel deposits are non-refundable. All payments made for Boreal Expedition tours, that are discounted or promotional in nature, They are not refundable either.. Acceptance of any participant is subject to receipt and review of all forms, documents and payments required. If final payments are not received by the respective due date of your trip, We reserve the right to treat your reservation as canceled in accordance with our cancellation and refund policy.
We must receive written notification of your cancellation, at which time the following cancellation charges apply:
• 46 or more days before departure: deposit of 100% plus an administrative fee of $250.00 per person
• 45 or less days before departure: 100 % of the trip fare
No partial refunds are made for unused portions or services of a trip for any reason. Trips are sold as a package only.
All our Workshops and Tours are subject to the realities of the natural world. Although we will do everything in our power to stay on the itinerary, the circumstances that include, among other, the availability of permits, the weather, the availability of suppliers, the snow cover, river crossings, wild life, park or public land closures and wildfires may affect our itineraries. Payments are non-refundable for any itinerary changes. Boreal Expedition LLC uses a variety of concessionaires and suppliers in Iceland to facilitate our trips, included, among others, boats, charter flights, airlines, tour operators, guides and accommodation. Often, These providers operate equipment or provide services in very remote areas. We do not offer full or partial refunds or travel credits when a dealer or supplier is unable to provide service for any reason.. An example of when one of our contracted vendors is unable to provide their service could be due to weather-related issues or mechanical issues., like a boat, an airplane or vehicle that becomes inoperable. Boreal Expedition LLC will do everything possible to find another similar excursion, but often in the remote areas we travel in the options are limited.
We do not offer full or partial refunds or travel credits for travel delays or interruptions.. For example, if a flight is delayed and, as a result, miss part or all of your trip, Boreal Expedition LLC is not responsible for arranging alternative activities during a delay, travel support, additional hotel stays or related expenses. Boreal Expedition reserves the right to cancel trips. Boreal Expedition is not responsible for additional expenses incurred in preparing the trip. (For example: non-refundable advance purchase air tickets, clothes, equipment, visa fees, medical expenses, etc.).
Transfer policy
If you transfer from one trip to another: 46 or more days before the start date of the trip, there is an administrative fee of $ 250.00 (Please note that on some trips there are exceptions to this rule, included, among other, when we have booked non-refundable trips). accommodation, activities or flights within the country in your name). Discounted or promotional prices are not transferable. Less than 45 days before the start date of the trip, Regular cancellation and refund policies will apply. When requesting a transfer from one trip to another, the customer must select an alternative trip at the time of the transfer request.
trip leaders
If your scheduled trip leader is sick, injured or unavailable, Boreal Expedition will make every effort to find a suitable replacement. Please note that we cannot guarantee that specific trip leaders' schedules will change and, sometimes, the schedules of scheduled trip leaders.
Required documents
Each participant must sign a Terms and Conditions form / Assumption of risk, as well as a health questionnaire, within two months of registering for a trip. Participation of any member of the trip will be refused in the absence of the Terms and Conditions / signed assumption of risk form and health questionnaire, no refund of travel fare. No modification to the Terms and Conditions will be accepted / Assumption of Risk Form or Health Questionnaire.
Travel insurance
Sometimes life happens and you have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. We strongly recommend protecting your travel investment and purchasing a travel insurance policy that includes emergency evacuation coverage. Travel insurance provides you with trip cancellation/interruption coverage, travel delay, flight, baggage and baggage delay.
